A Burns Supper is a celebration of the life and poetry of the poet Robert Burns, author of many Scots poems. The suppers are normally held on or near the poet´s birthday, 25th January, sometimes also known as Robert Burns Day (or Robbie Burns Day or Rabbie Burns Day) or Burns Night.
Burns Night Menu
The centrepiece of the Burns Supper will be the iconic HAGGIS, or as the bard himself described it the ´great chieftain o´the puddin´race. Traditional accompaniments to the HAGGIS will be NEEPS & TATTIES or as they are more commonly known - TURNIP & POTATOES.
Also there will be a Delicious BUFFET !!
Burns Dress Code: TARTAN
Anything goes, but it is definitely recommended that you wear at least a little bit of tartan! Whether it be a tartan hat, a tartan tie, or the full kit, it´s entirely up to you!
